Being in my second mandate in the presidium of EMU, I feel a constantly growing urge and responsibility concerning how I could do more for children and teachers in primary music education using also the tools given by our union. I believe we have to help the adaptation to the changing needs; in expertise, system or societal attitude.
In 2023 my hometown, Veszprém was the European Capital of Culture and still owns the title of City of Music by UNESCO. The MusiColours Youth Music Festival, 2023 and the MusiColours Seminar on early childhood music education, 2022, gave me not only joy, but the hope to have the opportunity to take part in organizing as many similar events as possible.
I deeply believe in early childhood music education as it has to serve as a bridge from birth to music schools. At the university I educate music to future kindergarten teachers and communicate music as an inevitable part of emotional education.
